Fostering Body Awareness Through Complementary Mind-Body Practices

Body awareness is foundational to emotional and nervous system regulation and supports differentiation of self and healthy relational boundaries.

Learn how to help your clients build body awareness through mind-body practices that can be incorporated into therapy sessions (or practiced outside of therapy) to support and compliment your treatment goals.

What to Expect

During this 2 hour course, expect a small group, in person setting where learning will happen through a mix of didactic education, experiential learning and discussion for clinical integration. In this course, you will learn:

• The benefits of body awareness

• Body awareness exercises to incorporate in sessions

• What yoga, meditation and Reiki are and are not

• Referral resources, if needed

    • Key Concepts Learning - 20 minutes

    • Breathwork Experiential - 10 minutes

    • Gentle Yoga Experiential - 40 minutes

    • Meditation & Reiki Experiential - 30 minutes

    • Integration Discussion - 20 minutes
